A Career Built on Real Courtroom Experience

Richard H. Silvas was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he attended public schools. From there he went on to earn his undergraduate degree from Columbia College in New York City, graduating in 1974 from one of the most prestigious Ivy League institutions in the country.

That same year, Richard entered the University of Houston Law School, beginning his studies in June 1974 and graduating in August 1976. He was licensed to practice law in the State of Texas on November 1, 1976.

Within a year of being licensed, Richard was working for the Nueces County District Attorney's Office, prosecuting first-degree felonies including murder, aggravated sexual assault, and robbery.

After leaving the District Attorney's Office, Richard built a general practice in South Texas defending criminal cases and handling contested family law cases and personal injury claims. That foundation of courtroom experience across multiple areas of law gives him a depth of legal knowledge that few attorneys can match.

In 2006, Richard moved his practice to San Antonio, where he now concentrates on representing injured persons in auto collision and premises liability cases. He has since expanded his reach with an office in Laredo, serving clients across South Texas.
